Pretty much everyone values being in good shape, even though commitment to actually putting in the work varies greatly. Though it may be difficult to hear, you’re not going to get into shape and stay in shape without putting in the work. Hopefully if you’re reading this, you’re motivated and willing to work hard to get into shape. In this article we’ll talk about which cardio exercise burns the most fat.

For many people, they want to get into shape because they want to look good. The gold standard is usually six-pack abs, which are a universally regarded symbol of desirability and attractiveness. Running is the best cardio exercise for burning fat, which is what you’ll need for six pack abs. Though building a six pack takes time and hard work, there are a couple of easy ways you can make progress starting now.

Running is a fundamental form of exercise. It’s the simplest way to stay in shape, since all you need are space and your feet. Running will work the lungs and oxygenate the blood, but it will also work the leg muscles, which are the biggest muscles in the body. There are many ways to run, which we’ll talk about in the coming paragraphs, but a great running concept is called sprint interval training, which is where you run at full speed for 30-60 seconds and then take a few minutes rest. You can practice spring interval training pretty much anywhere there is enough space, including a track, sports field, hiking trail, or on the streets and sidewalk of your neighborhood.

  • Treadmill Workout

You can also use a treadmill to workout. Treadmills are great because they allow you to regulate your speed and monitor all types of statistics for your workout, like length, heart rate, and calories burned. Many people love run-ing on treadmills because it allows them to run for long periods of distance and time all while staying in the same place. You should be able to find plenty of treadmills at your local gym. You could also shell out the money and buy one for your house, which will give you easy, constant access. Buying a treadmill is a great first step to attaining the goal of six pack abs.

  • Variety of Drills

There are also a huge amount of drills that you can incorporate into a running regimen in order to get a six pack. There are simple drills like wind sprints and gassers, which is where you run at full speed for fifty or a hundred yards and then take a minute or so to recover before running in the opposite direction for the same distance. You can repeat this process for as long as you have the stamina, or as long as you have the time.

  • Sprinting

Lastly, you can take up sprinting. Sprinting is where you run a certain distance at full speed. This can be thirty yards, fifty yards, a hundred yards, or even several miles. It takes a lot of energy to sprint at full speed for lengthy periods of time, and unless you’re in great shape you will get tired and out of breath very quickly. Sprinting is a great goal to build towards as you’re on your journey to six pack abs.
