Are you craving for sweets? Maybe you want to have a slice of cake. Don't know which cake to get? Then here's a short list of some of the most popular cakes in Singapore.

Mont Blanc by Angelina

Angelina is a patisserie that originated from the pastry capital itself, which is Paris, France. It is actually considered as an institution in France. Famous people have flocked to the cake shop, including the fashion legend Coco Chanel. If their cakes are good enough for a fashion icon then it's good enough for everyone. And one of their best offerings is the Mont Blanc. It's a combination of the fluffiest whipped cream and meringue with sweet chestnut puree as toppings. Singaporeans are lucky that Angelina has opened a branch at the Marina Bay Sands. Their other pastries are delectable too.

The All Chocolate Cake by Awfully Cake

Chocolate cakes are quite common. Almost all bake shops have them. But if you haven't tasted the All Chocolate Cake at Awfully Chocolate, then you don't really know what a true chocolate cake is. One bite of this delectable dessert and you'll immediately get transported to chocolate heaven. The All Chocolate Cake has a dark roast flavour that you won't be able to find in other chocolate cakes. It's a good thing that Awfully Chocolate has several outlets in Singapore. So whenever you start to crave for the All Chocolate Cake, you know that it's just nearby.

Pear and Cheese Crumble at Brunetti

Brunetti is an Italian pastry chef that originated from Australia. They are known for serving decadent cakes and pastries. But what put them on the desert map is their Pear and Cheese Crumble. It's a unique take on the classic cheesecake and it's easily one of the most scrumptious that you can find. The cheesecake is loaded with blackberry jam and poached pears and it has a base with chocolate chip biscuit. Sinful is too tame a word to describe this creation by Brunetti. But it's a sin that you would wilfully commit over and over again. Their Chocolate Flourless Souffle is also worth trying. Brunetti is located at the Tanglin Mall.

Ichigo at Chef Yamashita

The Japanese are known for making fluffy cakes that melt in the mouth. Luckily, you don't have to go to Japan to enjoy their cakes. This is because one of the most talented and creative Japanese pastry chefs is actually in Singapore and his name is Chef Yamashita Masataka. Chef Yamashita is a master at making handcrafted desserts that are not only delicious but are beautiful as well. And one of his greatest masterpieces is the Ichigo. The word means Strawberry in Japanese and yes, you guessed it right, the Ichigo is a strawberry shortcake. But it's unlike any strawberry shortcakes you've tasted before. It's airy and light and it's going to be the fluffiest cake you've ever eaten. You should also try their Matcha Roll Cake. It has a strong matcha flavour that is tempered by the cream. The mochi on top is a nice touch.
